Calgary Home Nest Privacy Policy

Effective November 6, 2026.

Calgary Home Nest is a private household integration operated by the administrator of the household's Home Assistant instance. It uses Google's Nest Device Access service to connect the Nest devices selected during authorization.

Home Assistant uses device identifiers, room information, thermostat settings, and temperature and operating status to show and control the selected thermostat. Google Cloud Pub/Sub carries device events to Home Assistant. Home Assistant stores the OAuth credentials needed to maintain the connection. Device state may also be retained in Home Assistant history and backups according to the household's settings.

The public project and privacy pages are informational. The integration uses Google and the household's Home Assistant instance to provide the connection. The public pages do not display thermostat readings or collect Google sign-in credentials.

To disconnect the integration, remove it in Home Assistant and revoke access in Google Nest Partner Connections. To remove previously stored local history or backups, contact the household administrator.
